Ralphie’s Walk.
On Sunday 9th June 2013 Ralphie was joined by eleven of his friends for the second annual Forestside charity dog walk in aid of Barnardo’s.
The walk began at Belvoir Forest where we met at 10:00am. To begin our journey we headed down to the Lagan towards the Lock Keeper’s Cottage, where the dogs were able to have a splash to cool down. When we reached our halfway point we stopped for a short break to boost our energy levels for the last stretch of our walk even though some did get a little tired and had to be carried back to the cars. After the walking was done we then got back into the cars and drove on to Forestside where we all enjoyed coffee and refreshments courtesy of Attridge & Cole and a lovely drink of water and a treat or two for the top dogs who did brilliantly.
As the sun was shining all day we could not have asked for better weather to enjoy our adventure. We asked for a £10 registration fee which was payable on the day and we ended up raising a wonderful total of £125 which will be donated to Barnardo’s. A big thank you goes out to everyone who took part. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.
