This year five schools took part in this years Forestside Young Designer Competition: Aquinas Grammar, Friends of Lisburn, Methodist College, Wellington College and Our Lady & St Patricks College.  Each school entered the best of either their GCSE or AS level designs for judging. The designs gathered quite a bit of attention from our customers here at Forestside. 

Each design was displayed on the Mall from the beginning of November followed by the students being invited into the centre and asked to talk through their design with the judges; Forestside Centre Manager, Lee Cutler and Brian McKibbin, Forestside Events Co-ordinator . Each student was awarded marks on the conception, construction and presentation of their design. Final scores were exceptionally close though the winning entry was seen to have been submitted by Ellen Montgomery from Friends of Lisburn.

We would like to thank all of the teachers for their assistance and each of the students that took part this year. The winner won an iPad mini and the runners up were each presented with Forestside Gift Cards.  Well done to each and every one!
