November 05, 2014

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome a new member to the food blogging team at Forestside.

Chef Stephen Jeffers is a true statesman in the world of food and we are delighted that he has decided to work with us. For those of you who may not be so familiar with him, Stephen is a freelance food stylist and teacher, having worked as a chef for well over twenty years, he is a very passionate chef with a love of product, skill and enjoys working with simple to complex dishes.

With his level of knowledge, experience and attention to detail, it became a natural progression for him to get into the food styling scene having worked with most of Ireland's best food photographers.  He currently works as the principal tutor in the infamous Belfast Cookery School and can always make time in his schedule for a food styling job. Some of you may have seen his appearance on last week's Magazine show with Sarah Travers, TV is just one more of Stephen's ongoing projects.

Stephen has worked in many types of hospitality,  starting as a personal chef to the rich & famous, he has owned many top class restaurants over the last 20 years, The Refectory, Grace Neills,  Jeffers by the Marina, The Boat House.  He has also worked for Michael Deane, The Malmaison Group & Mourne Seafood Bar.

Chef Jeffers will be providing Forestside readers with a blog once per month including recipes and styling tips and we are working on a project to get him on mall for cookery demonstrations and master classes.

With all this experience and knowledge we can't wait to start cooking.
